9point75 Woodworks Website
Big-league discipline, small-business scale.
For a one-man custom woodworking shop that needed a website able to win work, and an owner who should not need a developer to run it.
Who it is for
9point75 Woodworks is a custom woodworking shop in Jacksonville, North Carolina, run by one craftsman, a retired Marine. He needed a professional site that could win custom work in local search, and he needed to run it himself. A site that only a developer can update goes stale, and a quote request that lands in a forgotten inbox is a lost job.
What changed in their work
Customers request quotes with photos, measurements, budget, and timeline, and each request lands in the shop's own admin and in an email to the owner. From a plain-language admin he updates the gallery, reorders and removes photos, and moves each request from new to responded with one tap. Service pages for custom furniture, cabinets, and built-ins give local searches something to find.
How adoption was designed
- Agree on the plan first. Business goals, customers, and brand direction went into a written plan the owner approved before anything was built.
- Built for a non-technical owner. The admin uses plain language, one-tap statuses, and a confirmation before anything is deleted, so he can run it without calling anyone.
- Short, reviewable increments. The owner saw progress at each step instead of a single big reveal.
How it is built
A Next.js site with a Supabase database and file storage, deployed on Vercel, with local search structure and structured data built in from the start.
